Historic Presbyterian Church
Billie Creek Village has recently acquired the Memorial Presbyterian Church, located at 130 S Market Street, Rockville, Indiana—a historic gem built in 1891 and nestled within the Rockville Historic District that showcases notable Colonial Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne architecture.
Over 130 years of history: The church is a contributing landmark in the Rockville Historic District and adds to the town’s architectural heritage.
Distinctive bell tower: The bell was cast using metal from earlier “new school” and “old school” Presbyterian congregations unified in 1869, with the tower later restored around 1950.
Flexible event space: The church offers its sanctuary, community room, and classrooms for rent—ideal for music performances, recitals, meetings, and gatherings—with seating for over 100 people and excellent acoustics.
Trinity Parish congregation: One of three rural Presbyterian congregations, called Trinity Parish, meet on a regular basis between three local towns. Services at Memorial Presbyterian happen on a rotating basis. When worshiping, the local choir brings joy and beautiful music to the space. Without a minister, the local elders have stepped forward to pray, prepare lessons, lead music, and help one another through personal troubles as the congregation seeks the right path forward.
